Government of Tamilnadu has been honouring Tamil Scholars and Academics every year on Thiruvalluvar Day (next day of Pongal) On that day they also honour Tamil writers, poets and Translators with Chitirai TirunaL Awards
Each award carries a citation and a cash prize of Rs.1 lakh
I was honoured with the Best Translator Award for the year 2019. Mr. E.Palaniswami, then Chief Minister of Tamilnadu on 20 January 2020 in the presence of all the cabinet members of Tamilnadu Government.
