The National Book Trust (NBT), India is an apex body established by the Government of India (Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development) in the year 1957. NBT encourages the production of good literature in all Indian languages and to make such literature available at moderate prices to the public
NBT publishes a variety of books, except text books, which includes the classical literature of India, outstanding works of Indian authors in Indian languages and their translation from one Indian language to another, translation of outstanding books from foreign languages I was nominated to the Tamil Advisory Panel of National Book Trust in the year 1994 and served the panel for three years along with other prominent writers.
