I have been writing a column in the #1 Tamil weekly ( Circulation 3 00 000 copies a week) for over 75 weeks. In the middle of July 2020 in the issue that hit stands on 15th July 2020, I wrote about our PM’s interest in the great Tamil Poet Subramaniya Bharathi and in the classical Tamil work Thirukural.
To my great surprise Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, made a tweet hailing Thirukural and urging youth to read it, enclosing my column.
It is indeed a proud and happy moment for me as a writer/journalist. PM might have come across many news clips from every Indian language and from many newspapers. But he chose my column to tweet his message.
